At KAMINARI GUITARS, we believe in preserving the kind of thoughtful, hands-on craftsmanship that is becoming rare in today’s world of mass production. By combining time-honored techniques with modern technology and knowledge, we create instruments that carry the spirit of the past while offering something new for the present.
All of our products are made exclusively in the USA and Japan, and we are committed to delivering genuinely high-quality gear at a fair, honest price.
The instruments born in the United States and Europe during the 1950s and ’60s were truly exceptional, shaping the sound of countless classic recordings. What is less widely known is how, from the 1970s onward, Japan’s growing technical skill and meticulous approach began to have a major influence on Western instrument building.
Japan has long valued the idea of taking “one extra step,” adding a level of care that goes beyond what is visible on the surface. At KAMINARI GUITARS, we carry that mindset forward, never cutting corners, and putting the same level of attention even into the parts no one sees.
To us, bringing the quality and soul of the “good old days” into the modern era is more than nostalgia, it’s our definition of true style, of what we call iki, a kind of effortless cool that comes from doing things the right way.
For example, the photo shows the bridge section of the Swinger ’69.
The bridge plate is modeled after a vintage USA-made part that we sourced, and we reproduce it domestically here in Japan. The bridge saddles (shown here with spiral saddles) are USA-made in inch specifications, and the height-adjustment screws use inch-sized slotted screws that we’ve carefully sourced and installed.
During prototyping, the height screws were hex grub screws, but all production models now use slotted screws instead.
These inch-spec slotted height-adjustment screws are surprisingly difficult to obtain, and when they can be found, they tend to be unexpectedly expensive. Even so, details like this are important to us, and we will continue making this kind of subtle, quality-focused improvement wherever possible.
Based on this philosophy, we are continually planning and developing guitars, basses, parts, cables, and more. No matter the category, every product we create is an original design that carries the unique character and potential of KAMINARI GUITARS.

●This warranty guarantees free repair or replacement of the product according to the conditions stated on the warranty card, and applies only to the first owner who purchased a KAMINARI Cable from an authorized dealer.
● The warranty card will not be reissued under any circumstances. Please keep it in a safe place.
KAMINARI Cable – Lifetime Warranty Policy
・This warranty is valid only within Japan.
・If a defect or failure occurs under normal use, we will repair or replace the product free of charge.
・If the warrantied product has been discontinued or redesigned for any reason, repairs or replacements will be made using equivalent parts, equivalent products, or a successor model.
We do not accept requests for modifications or specification changes during repair or replacement.
・Subjective requests related to product use (e.g., “I don’t like the sound”) cannot be accommodated.
・The final judgement regarding repair or replacement will be made by KAMINARI GUITARS.
This warranty does not apply in the following cases:
(1) When the warranty card cannot be presented
(2) When the purchaser’s name, dealer name, or purchase date is not filled in on the warranty card, or if the information has been altered
(If the dealer name is missing, please contact the dealer where you purchased the product.)
(3) When the failure is caused by incorrect use, unauthorized repair, or modification
(4) When the cause of failure lies in equipment other than this product
(5) When the failure or damage is caused by fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, other natural disasters, accidents, pollution, abnormal power supply, use in high-humidity environments, or damage during transport
