Based on the “non-reverse Thunderbird,” the YARDBIRD Yu Suto Model is a bold reimagining of the original YARDBIRD.
The body is made from lightweight ash, the headstock has been reduced in size, and the tuners and bridge have been updated to further reduce weight. The fret count has also been increased to 21, allowing comfortable playability even in the higher register. Every detail from the body color to the pickguard finish, has been carefully refined to match Suto’s ideal.
Designed with a lightweight ash body, maple neck, and a 34-inch scale, this model delivers a unique silhouette, long sustain, and a clear, well-defined low end. The headstock logo is hand-painted one by one by world-renowned pinstriper KEN THE FLATTOP, giving each instrument a distinct, personal touch.
